if this was any indication of how my night was going to be then i was in serious trouble. its bad enough i apparently have no sense of direction but as i turns out i cant follow simple instructions either. never the less my lack of navigation not withstanding i was able to locate the Roosevelts venue where i heard fresh, up and coming music acts such as Jonsey, Sodot, Scholor, BSP, and Mark Gains were going to put there thang down on stage and under them bright lights
there swag was definitely turnt up to 1000.
the ladies were definitely in attendance
..the shoe game was poppin the music was poppin the coronas were $4 dollars
..not poppin
but you know ya boy definitely got his swerve on(as they say down south) sippin on the cranberry goose(matching my fire red POLO i might add) lookin like a million bucks($100 dollars to be exact)
Dj Mr Miami kept the floor jumpin while artist like scholor lived up to his namesake droppin tracks and giving out lyrical home work assignments to would be challengers.
Sodot tore it down bringing back that east coast BOOM BAP
BSP got thier shine on with there joint “the pharmasist”
and that boy Jonsey kept it live with his 5 song set
the highlight being when Jonsey was accompanied by that bol Mark Gains for an awesome performance of “the night iz ours” with the production being on point, and the Roosevelt crowd giving decent energy, i could definitely see this song getting serious rotation..
the night as a whole was a success for all those who performed and came out to show thier support. there needs to be more venues willing to showcase local talent out here because theres definitely potential.
i hope to keep seeing these artists do thier thang..
now all i got to do iz find my way back home
